Free to head North

Were packed up and ready to go by 9.30am however had to wait until 12 noon to leave as that was the official time the Bio-security police would allow us to leave our quarantine location.  Were handed our Certificate of Quarantine by Welfare staff - great excitement as so happy to be travelling on however sad to say goodbye to the staff members who have looked after us and visited on a daily basis for the last 2 weeks.  Hooked the van on and at 12.10pm we crossed the bio security border on the outskirts of Tennant Creek and were FREE!!!

Receiving our quarantine clearance certificate
Copy of the certificate
Helen getting the certificate, still not venturing off the step!!
Hooked up ready to go, had better get Helen out of the cabin!!

Encountered quite a strong tail wind which was great for travelling.  Stopped at Renner Springs for a bite to eat however instead of the place being full of travellers, it was so quiet.  Had a chat to the owner who was certainly doing it tough as this time of year is usually his busiest.  Hoping the NT Border will open soon so he can get the travellers calling in again.  Sighted quite a few Wedge tailed eagles along the road and pulled into Hi-Way Inn Daly Waters for the night.

The next day we noticed a few more cars and trucks on the road and were stopped at a bio security check point at the turn off to Gove (Central Arnhem Rd).  We were able to show our Certificate and was able to continue on, however who would have thought we would be showing passes to travel through States/Territories in Australia!  Stopped for lunch at Pine Creek then drove to Adelaide River Caravan Park for the night.  Once again this place would be packed at this time of year however only 3 other vans here.  Heard news that Pubs can open up in the NT at 12 noon tomorrow, with restrictions, so expect to see more people out and about.
Free to travel north to Darwin.
No overflowing bins at deserted road side pull ins. This one at Newcastle Waters.
The lunch stop to ourself at King River Rest Area.

Left around 8am from Adelaide River and drove to Caravan Wash in Wishart where we washed most of the dust off the Van.  Drove to Charlies @ Marlow Lagoon where we set up - only 3 sites on his property and with borders closed we were his only clients.  Quite handy for us as our house is not far away so were able to go back and forth without any hassles.
