Easter

Settled into a Retreat at Susan River where we booked for 2 weeks which included Easter.  Quite a few familiar faces but also meet new people. Weather was very average with most days producing rain.
That windy the clothes blew off, lucky I didn't have many to wash!!
About 5 days in our daughter advised us she had broken a bone in her right hand and was in a half cast.  After Helen spoke to her, and knowing what it's like to try and carry on without using the right arm, she decided to catch the train down to the Gold Coast and help out for a few days.  Briony was also shifting from a unit into a home on the weekend so a few days stretched into a week!  Briony appreciated her Mum being there to help getting dressed, washing hair, cooking etc and also was grateful that her brother and his friend were there to help her shift out of a third level unit, although Helen said Briony had done a lot of the work herself even with a broken hand!  With Briony moved into her new home, Helen spent her last night at our son's home which also coincided with his surprise Buck's night, which is another story and best left alone!  Safe to say, Helen did not get a lot of sleep that night!!

While Helen was back on the GC helping Briony I managed to entertain myself. Wilko had a problem with his caravan water tank and was removed by one of the other campers, then he had to leave.  I pitched in and gave some assistant to Wilko to patch up a hole in the tank which the previous owner had put in to vent the tank, but it was such a big hole leaked out copious amount of water. Over the next couple of days we patch this up and removed the other tank finding a small hole as well. The tanks were replaced and the proper breather pipes connected.

As the weather was not the best I only managed a couple of games of golf, helped out in the shed as one of the tractors needed the hydraulic pump fixed.  The others looked after me very well, inviting me out to lunch at the Boat Club in Hervey Bay one day for a great meal.

Just steady drizzle off and on over the week.

A group of us had lunch at the Boat Club in Hervey Bay

While the cat is away!!!!

Unfortunately on her return home Helen was not well and by the time I picked her up from the train station at Maryborough she did not look good.  She had picked up some 'bug' on the Gold Coast and with the many visitors for the Commonwealth Games, goodness knows what was floating around!  She slept most of the next day and was still not too well when we packed up and travelled to Beerwah for a couple of nights
