Bryce Canyon National Park

Day 16, Discovering Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon is home to the largest collection of hoodoos (irregularly-eroded rock spires) in the world.  Situated along the east edge of a plateau, the park has one main 18 mile north to south road and only one entrance/exit.

The previous night we recorded 1 degrees - heater was on most of the night! We went on an ATV tour together with fellow travellers Jeff and Dawn, and had a great time driving up and down hills.  Jeff and I both enjoyed creating the odd slide out around corners!!

Once again shuttle buses were available with drop offs at many scenic look outs plus there were a lot of hiking trails however we were limited with time.  Took the shuttle bus to Inspiration Point, walked 1.2 km along the Rim to Sunset Point and with the sun shining on the rocks, the view was absolutely stunning.  Once again it was a case of  being blown away by the scenery at every turn.
