Whilst in Tamworth a Variety Club of Victoria scheduled a night stop and we were entertained with lots of sirens and bash cars including a Fire Truck which had been decked out with cappuccino machine and heaps of other 'surprises'. One big surprise Hels experienced in the morning they departed was a huge tough looking Fireman dressed in a ladies dress and a blue bow which was stuck to his bald head! The make up looked as though he may have applied himself but she still told him he looked lovely - to which he did a little curtsey! We also attended the Taste Tamworth Festival which included local businesses displaying and encouraging sampling of their products including wines, cheeses, various foods etc. One thing we noticed was they had plenty of activities for the kids including face painting and giving them the opportunity to cook a hamburger or a pizza. They all had little chef hats with their names on and all looked pretty happy to show off their cooking expertise!
Some Variety Cars with the service truck, must have had a whole workshop in the back. |
